Whatever Love is
Young children were asked a question
“What do you think love means?”
Their answers were so enlightening
A wealth of different scenes.

“If you want to learn to love
Then start with a friend you hate.”
“Mommy and Daddy have been married for years
But she says he’s still her best mate.”

“Love is when a girl puts on perfume
And the boy his after-shave,
They then go and smell each other”
To one child that’s how they behave.

The neighbour of a four year old
Had recently lost his wife,
The little boy went and sat on his lap,
To the old man a sign of life.

The little boy’s mother asked “What did you say
To the old man with the tear in his eye?”
“I didn’t say anything,” said the boy
“I just helped him to cry.”
