The Fernhurst Scout troop meets on Monday evenings at 7:30 until 9:00 during West Sussex term time. The normal venue is the Fernhurst Scout HQ, Ropes Lane

 The age range for the section is 10½ until 14. After the age of 14 they can move onto Explorer Scouts in either Haslemere or Midhurst District. The section is mixed, with both boys and girls.

The troop programme is focused towards:

§      Outdoor activities

§      Traditional Scouting activities

§      Meeting the Scout section award scheme

 Activities undertaken within the last year include

§      A bivouac camp, where the Scouts built shelters in a local wood and slept out in them

§      Troop, Group and District camps

§      Orienteering

§      Caving

§      Laserquest

§      District swimming gala

§      Dry slope skiing
