Post Office: The Fernhurst Post Office is a friendly
small rural post office offering a full range of Postal services
(including car tax, foreign currency and Euros on demand ).
It also has cash facilities for anyone banking with Lloyds, TSB,
Barclays, Smile, Cahoot, Giro, Alliance & Leicester and the Co-op Bank. They also stock a nice range of greetings cards and stationery. Glenys and Terry who man the counter, always give a warm welcome to their customers. A good place to bump into people for a chat. |
| Hair Care: The local hairdressers, offering a friendly service to all their customers: men, women and children alike. Glynis, Jayne and Jacqui provide a pleasant atmosphere and have many 'regulars', which speaks volumes for the good cut you will get there. They also do perms and hair colouring. |

BodyHaven: somewhere to go to be pampered. Angela provides
not just waxing, pedicures, manicures, tans and facials, but also
aromatherapy massages, reflexology and many other treatments. Great place for a re-charge! |
| Crossway's Fruiterers: or "Steve's" as it is popularly known. Run by Steve, various members of his family plus of course Gill. Good range of fresh produce and flowers, often locally supplied, all at competitive prices. Also supplies local pubs and restaurants and people come from miles around to shop there, which says it all about the quality. Will order specials in for you too. Always helpful, a warm welcoming atmosphere and another good place to bump into people for a chat. |
| Launderette: On the premise washing and cleaning by Nicci and Sarah. You can use the washing machines or have a 'service' wash, have duvets and pillows cleaned and clothing repaired. An ironing service is also available. |
| Groomery: Keep your dog in good shape with Becky's excellent service. The dogs seem to love it, so it must be good. |
| Dudman-Ward - Electricians: Need some electrical work done? Ask Malcolm your local electrician to help. Also sells a wide range of electrical items - from batteries and bulbs of all shapes and sizes to fuses and plugs etc. He also has a small range of electrical goods |
| Fernhurst Pharmacy: further down Vann road, Tim provides a personal local service, dispensing prescriptions, collecting and delivering medicines, with a direct link into the Haslemere Health Centre practice doctors. Excellent advice on minor ailments - save waiting for a doctors appointment. A good range of 'over the counter' medicines. Will order anything not in stock for you. |
| Blackdown Press: a commercial printer, but the little building on the pavement offers a photocopying service - colour as well, and up to and including A3 size (ask for Johnny). Also stocks a good range of office stationery and consumables. Fast and friendly service. |
| Ede's Newsagents: The local newspaper and magazine shop, with deliveries in the village centre. Chris and Val also sell lottery tickets, greetings cards, stamps, stationery, wrapping paper and sweets. Also doubles as the village grocers, with milk, fruit juice, sandwiches, a basic range of packaged goods, excellent fresh bread every day and a freezer cabinet with frozen meals as well as ice cream! Another good place to bump into people for a chat. |
