In and around Fernhurst are a number of well used organisations and clubs
offering a wide range of activities for children and young persons.
This is a guide to what they offer. 

Beavers 
Beaver Scouts are the youngest section in The Scout Association and are aged 6 –8 years old. The Beaver Scouts meet in Colonies of between 12 -24.  Beaver Scouts have lots of fun doing different activities which include making things, going on visits, making friends, doing badges and going away for a night on a sleepover.

Cubs  Cub Scouts are Boys and Girls aged 8 to 10. They meet in a Cub Pack and have lots of fun. At Cubs you can try lots of fun activities like Camping, going on trips and making things. If you like having lots of fun and adventure with your friends.

Fernhurst Fledglings  is a playgroup for babies, toddlers and their parents/carers that meets Wednesday mornings in the room opposite the pre-school.  It is a great introduction for young children, as well as parents, to make friends and become familiar with the pre school environment before taking the big step up to the pre-school. Fledglings meets from 9.30am to 11.30am Wednesday term time.

Fish on Friday
Bible based teaching for children aged 5-11. Held in Fernhurst Primary School.
During term time only every Friday at 3:30 PM for 1 hour
Junior Fernhurst Society   Come and join in these fun walks and find out more about the area you live in - and keep healthy!  Each walk has a nature theme to make it interesting and enjoyable for children aged between 5 and 10 years. Parents are very welcome too!  The meetings are generally on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Details are in the Fernhurst News and in the latest Society newsletters.
Minnows   Praise and Play
For Parents, Carers & under 5's, . Come and join them for Songs, Story, Coffee and Chat.  First Friday of every month at 10.30 am.

OSCARS  The club operates from Fernhurst Primary School in the main hall and enclosed play areas.  The group opens after school during school term times and operates a playscheme during school holidays and on inset days.  Sessions are from 15.30 to 17.30 on schooldays and 09.00 to 16.00 on school holidays and inset days.  Four members of staff work with the children and there are procedures in place to support children with special needs.

Scouts  The Scout Section is for young people, usually aged between 10½ and 14 years. A young person can come in to the Troop at 10 and may stay until they are 15 years old.

Singing Kettles Childrens Music Club  Children from 4 months to school age meet on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings in the Fernhurst Pavilion.  A weekly 45 minute music programme for babies and young children. The club is run by a professionally trained classical musician and cellist.

Youth Club The club is affiliated to West Sussex Youth Service and is situated behind Tavern Court on the Haslemere Road.
It is comprised of a Junior Club for 7-11 year olds, open on Thursdays only from 5.30 - 7.30 pm,
and a Senior Club for 11-17 year olds, open on Wednesdays only from 7.30 - 9.30 pm.
Facilities consist of Pool, Snooker, Table Tennis, Darts, Music, TV, Video, Computer, Indoor and Outdoor Games, Crafts and Cooking.  Subscriptions are only 50p per evening.
