Revels 2023

Another amazing Revels Day - the sun shone - the May Queen and her attendants were radiant - the fancy dress was fabulous - The May Pole Dancers excelled, and George and the Dragon fought on to the end.

Another splendid result for the village with thanks to the to the small group of people who form the Revels Management Committee and although the Revels incurred much higher “base” costs this year of over £4,100, the ‘Revels Management Committee has given donations totalling £3,450 to 14 village organisations. (The Revels’ “base” costs include expenditure on hiring the Recreation Ground and the Village Hall, insurance, toilet hire, first aid cover, the PA system, publicity, and attractions such as the jazz band, Punch & Judy, falconry display and reptiles).
